Sea of Light is a Third Person Stealth Game that was made as a collaborative effort for the final major project during the Level 5 Game Design and Production course at City College Plymouth.
For this project, my development roles were 2D Artist and Sound Designer.Â
For the role of 2D Artist, I was responsible for producing assets for the UI elements such as the main menu and pause menu. I also was responsible for implementing these menus into the game. These assets can be found in the Project Gallery.
For the role of Sound Designer, I was responsible for producing, obtaining and implementing the sounds found throughout the game. These include footsteps, page turning noises and background sounds. The sounds I made from scratch can be found below.
In order to get this project completed on time I also picked up some additional tasks that were outside of my role in the project. Some example of this were, helping with the layout for level 2 in the game and programming some of the core systems of the game such as item interaction. These additional tasks were able to help get the game into a better state overall.
During this project we used GitHub as our Source Control to make collaboration easier. This also allowed easier access to the project when changes and additions were needed to be made.
Alongside this project, we also had to market the game as part of an assignment running alongside this project
